Facility in Cumberland, MD seeking Infectious Disease locums coverageRates: $275/hrPosition OverviewThe facility in Western Maryland is seeking a Board-Certified Infectious Disease Physician for full-time locum tenens coverage due to a turnover vacancy. This role offers a predictable weekday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or after-hours call. The physician will provide inpatient infectious disease consultative services and manage ongoing cases independently.Schedule & CoverageSchedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PMStart Date: Mid-May 2026Flexibility: Will consider locums available 4 days per weekEstimated Shifts/Month: 20Call: Daytime call only during scheduled shift (telephone/beeper)No nights, weekends, holidays, or 24-hour callPrivileges: Full privileges availableCredentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 daysClinical ResponsibilitiesDaily inpatient roundingResponding to new infectious disease consultsManaging adult infectious disease casesCoordinating care with hospital teams and specialistsDocumenting care using Meditech and Epic EMR systemsPractice EnvironmentPatient Population: 100% adultAPP Support: NoneOther Specialties On-Site: All except Rheumatology and GeneticsSolo Coverage: YesRequirementsMD or DOBoard Certified in Infectious DiseaseDEA and CSR requiredActive Maryland license preferred, but licensing candidates will be consideredMinimum 1 year of experienceAbility to start mid-May (exact availability must be specified)About WhiteCoat Locums:- Physician owned and led agency- Highest-Pay rates on the market- $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail- 100% transparency
