Join Banner Health and the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix as an Academic Internal Medicine Physician in Surprise, Arizona. This is an outpatient-focused opportunity combining clinical practice with resident teaching, mentorship, and medical education.
You'll join a growing Internal Medicine residency program with opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, scholarship, and future program leadership while maintaining a rewarding outpatient practice.
Position Highlights
Outpatient Internal Medicine: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive ambulatory practice
Academic Appointment: Faculty appointment with the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix
Resident Teaching & Mentorship: Precept Internal Medicine residents and participate in resident education and mentorship
Protected Faculty Time: Dedicated time for teaching, scholarship, curriculum development, and program development
Flexible Practice : Outpatient-focused role with limited call; inpatient shifts are optional
Leadership Opportunities: Contribute to the continued growth of the residency program with opportunities for future leadership
Strong Clinical Support: Work alongside experienced MAs, front office staff, and engaged clinical and GME leadership

Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
Arizona medical license or eligibility
Interest in teaching and mentoring Internal Medicine residents
Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Collaborative approach to clinical practice and medical education
Interest in scholarship, curriculum development, or future academic leadership is encouraged
