Job description
A healthcare facility near Turner, Oregon is seeking a Neurohospitalist with expertise in Internal Medicine or Neurology for a locum tenens position starting in early 2025. This role is focused on inpatient consulting without critical care responsibilities. The facility is looking for coverage for 1 week each month, with shifts running from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM , and occasional weekend call coverage.
Position Details: Location : Near Turner, Oregon
Start Date : January 2025
Specialty : Neurohospitalist (Internal Medicine or Neurology)
Practice Setting : Inpatient consulting (no primary admitting service)
Shift Times : Approximately 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Call Coverage : 1 weekend every 8 weeks (24-hour call)
Patients per Shift : 10-12
Hospital Stroke Certification : Yes
Support Staff : Includes RNs, MAs, and Advanced Practice Providers
Required Qualifications:
Board Certification : Must be board eligible or certified in Neurology or Internal Medicine
License : Must hold an active Oregon medical license
Certifications : BLS required
Skills Needed : Neurodiagnostic procedures, lumbar punctures, EEGs, thrombolytic therapy, and brain death exams
Key Dates Available: December 23rd (pending credentialing)
February 10th and 24th
March 10th
April 7th and 21st
May 5th and 19th
June 2nd, 16th, and 30th
