What You ll DoProvide skilled nursing care for postpartum and medical-surgical patients
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to fetal in distress situations
Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately using CPSI/Perigen charting systems
Occasionally take on charge nurse responsibilities
Maintain patient safety and comfort in a rural critical access hospital setting
What You Need
Required:
Valid Kansas or Multistate RN license
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association
Previous CAH and postpartum experience
Knowledge of CPSI/Perigen charting systems
Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently
Preferred:
Prior travel nurse experience
Ability to take on charge nurse duties when needed
Flexible with shift and unit assignments
About the Assignment
This role is based in a small rural critical access hospital (CAH) in Quinter, Kansas, serving as a vital healthcare resource for the local community. The RN will work primarily in med-surg and postpartum units, providing compassionate, high-quality care in a supportive environment. The unit maintains a typical 1:1 patient ratio postpartum and a 1:3 ratio for medical-surgical care. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses seeking a meaningful assignment in a close-knit setting.
