JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Profession: Physician Specialty: Maternal Fetal Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Hershey, PA 17033 Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Mar 31, 2027 Shift Schedule: Inpatient: M-F; 645a 530p Outpatient: M-F; 8a 5p Call Shift Schedule: Nights and Weekends Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:6 Call Response Time: 5 mins Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging and Malpractice Insurance covered PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: High-risk obstetrics patients (pregnant women) Average Daily Volume: 8-15 patients/day Admissions: Yes Rounding: Assigned Patients Phone Consults: 1-5 Case Mix: High-risk OB including PIH, diabetes, multiple gestations, etc. FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner Support Staff: RNs, MAs, 1 APP, 1 Office Staff Required to supervise MFM APPs: Yes PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: No REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH) HELLP syndrome Diabetes - Type I, II, Gestational Cardiac Disorders - Class II or higher Pulmonary, Renal, Neurological, Autoimmune Disorders Hematologic/Oncologic disorders Collagen vascular disease VBAC's, Vaginal breech delivery Placenta previa/abruption Multiples gestations, C-sections Instrument-assisted (forceps, vacuum, etc.) Amniocentesis-genetic, Cervical cerclage Ultrasounds: Performance of and interpretation JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licenses: PA Fellowship: Required Other Qualifications: EMR proficiency (Cerner), experience supervising APPs and trainees Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient consultations for high-risk obstetrics patients. Perform obstetrical ultrasound services and interpret results. Provide inpatient MFM coverage including antepartum/postpartum rounding, consults, cerclages, and deliveries. Supervise MFM advanced practice providers, fellows, and residents. Participate in on-call schedule including home night call, L&D backup, and weekend inpatient rounds.
