About the Position
Site Medical Director opportunity in a Level III Trauma Center
Location: Newburgh, New York
Approximately 55,000 annual ED visits
️ 23 ED beds + 8 Fast Track beds
Epic EMR
⚕️ 13 full-time physicians + 9 full-time APPs
53 hours of physician coverage + 37 hours of APP coverage
Opportunity to lead clinical operations, process improvement, strategy, metrics, and quality initiatives
Teaching opportunities with Internal Medicine residency rotations
Opportunity to help shape the future of the Emergency Department and support a new-build ER project
Requirements
Board certification/eligibility in Emergency Medicine
Physician leadership experience preferred
Ability to provide strong clinical and administrative leadership
Comfortable working in a high-acuity/trauma environment
Commitment to approximately 48–72 clinical hours per month while fulfilling Medical Director responsibilities
Benefits
$375,000–$475,000 compensation range
$290,000/year SMD stipend
$225/hr day rate | $240/hr night rate
$60,000 start-date bonus
for a 2-year commitment, subject to approval
Holiday pay
$3,000 BERA
