APP Clinical Leadership | Limited Direct Patient Care | Flexible Structure
Rhino Medical is seeking a Supervising Physician / Medical Director for a permanent leadership opportunity supporting an established community-based outpatient practice in Houston, Texas .
This position is designed for a physician interested in clinical leadership and APP supervision without a traditional full-time patient panel . The primary focus is oversight and support of the organization's Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, including required chart review, clinical guidance, and maintaining appropriate standards of care.
Direct patient care is limited, with occasional onsite coverage primarily involving immigration physicals .
Leadership Responsibilities
Provide clinical oversight for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
Complete required APP chart review and physician sign-off
Serve as a clinical resource for the APP team
Support appropriate clinical standards, protocols, and quality of care
Collaborate with practice leadership and the existing clinical team
Periodically work onsite in the Houston area
Perform immigration physicals during occasional onsite coverage
Limited direct patient care outside of immigration physicals
Practice Environment
Community-based outpatient healthcare organization
Primary and preventive care serving adults and children
Established APP-driven clinical model
Multiple practice locations across the Houston market
Patient population includes a significant number of uninsured and underserved individuals
Clinical focus includes preventive care and management of common chronic conditions
Permanent physician leadership position
Schedule structured directly between the physician and practice

Ideal Physician
Physician interested in a Supervising Physician / Medical Director role
Comfortable supervising and providing clinical guidance to NPs and PAs
Able to periodically work onsite in the Houston area
Comfortable completing required chart review and physician sign-off
Interested in a predominantly supervisory role with limited direct patient care
Immigration physical experience is a plus
