Quick Facts Location: 1375 North Main Street, Lapeer, MI Start Date: 11/09/2026 End Date: 02/08/2027 Shift: Afternoons, flexible scheduling Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Temporary Licenses/Certifications: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license required Experience: Prior laboratory testing and specimen collection experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay: $52.26 Weekly Pay Schedule: Direct deposit Benefits: Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with law Reimbursements for licensure, certifications, travel, and more Robust referral bonus program What You ll Do Collect and prepare blood samples using skin puncture and venipuncture techniques Verify patient information and label specimens accurately Assist medical technologists and pathologists with laboratory tests Maintain laboratory equipment and records according to accreditation standards Ensure safety by following infection control and hazardous waste protocols Document specimen and patient data in lab information systems Support laboratory operations and team collaboration What You Need Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license Prior experience in blood collection and specimen processing preferred Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols Ability to work afternoon shifts effectively About the Assignment This role is with a leading healthcare facility in Lapeer, MI, dedicated to providing high-quality laboratory services.
