Quick Facts Location: 1375 North Main Street, Lapeer, MI Start Date: 10/12/2026 End Date/Duration: 01/11/2027 Shift: Days, 8 hours Hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Temp/Contract License/Certs: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license preferred Experience: Prior laboratory experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $46.02/hr Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Paid sick time, in accordance with applicable laws What You ll Do Collect and prepare blood samples using skin puncture and venipuncture techniques Verify patient information and properly label specimens Assist with laboratory testing under the supervision of technologists or pathologists Maintain laboratory equipment and records per accreditation and quality standards Ensure sample collection, handling, and disposal follow safety regulations Enter patient, specimen, and billing data accurately into lab systems Support laboratory operations to meet quality and safety standards What You Need Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license or relevant certification Experience with blood collection techniques Knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control protocols Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment About the Assignment This contract position is with a leading facility in Lapeer, MI, focusing on blood sample collection and processing. You will be vital to supporting laboratory operations, ensuring specimens are accurately collected, labeled, and processed in a timely manner, all following strict safety and quality standards.
