Quick Facts Location: 1375 North Main Street, Lapeer, MI Start Date: 10/12/2026 End Date/Duration: 01/11/2027 Shift: Days Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Temporary License/Certs: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification required Experience: Previous laboratory experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $46.02 Pay Package: Discussed upon application Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Referral bonus program Paid sick time (per applicable laws) Licensure, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 support from dedicated team What You ll Do Collect and prepare blood samples using skin puncture and venipuncture techniques Verify patient information, label specimens, and match requisition forms Safely dispose of contaminated needles and biohazard materials Enter patient, specimen, insurance, and billing information accurately into lab systems Maintain sterile, organized blood-drawing trays and work environment Assist with laboratory equipment maintenance and quality control adherence Collaborate with medical technologists and pathologists in performing designated tests Follow established accreditation guidelines and safety protocols What You Need Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license or certification Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting preferred Strong attention to detail and safety procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational and communication skills About the Assignment This role involves specimen collection, processing, and laboratory support at a leading healthcare facility in Lapeer, MI. You'll be vital in ensuring accurate test results that aid patient diagnosis and treatment, all within a supportive and compliance-focused environment.
