About the Position
Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Neonatologist to join our esteemed Level III NICU team in Macon, GA. This is a unique opportunity to provide advanced neonatal care within a modern, state-of-the-art facility, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and engage in academic and teaching activities. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive, family-centered care to neonates in a high-volume 70-bed Level III NICU.
Manage critically ill, premature, and high-risk newborns, utilizing advanced neonatal therapies and technologies including high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and total body cooling.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team comprising neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners (NNPs), pediatric subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, and maternal-fetal medicine specialists.
Participate in an attractive, shared call and rounding schedule designed to promote work-life balance.
Deliver care within Georgia s designated regional perinatal/neonatal center, in a modern facility opened in 2019.
Engage in academic activities and teaching opportunities through an appointment with Mercer University School of Medicine.
Educate and mentor pediatric residents and neonatal fellows.
Contribute to initiatives focused on evidence-based neonatal care, quality improvement, and patient safety.
Work exclusively within the NICU, with no newborn nursery duties required.
Be involved in family-centered approaches and support initiatives that enhance neonatal outcomes.
Qualifications & RequirementsBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
Residency trained in Neonatology.
Ability to obtain medical licensure in Georgia.
J1 visa candidates are encouraged to apply; currently not accepting Locums.
Residency within or near the Macon area preferred; relocation may be required.
