This large tertiary care health system serves a regional population of approximately 460,000 across northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. The facility operates a combined 500-bed hospital complex with a regional network that includes 20 clinics and 7 hospitals, supported by nearly 1,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians across all major medical and surgical specialties.
Opportunity:
Physician - Nephrologist
Job Details:
Join an established, collaborative team of 5 nephrologists within a full-scope nephrology practice
1:6 call schedule with supplemental casual/locum coverage support as needed
Full-scope nephrology practice including clinical nephrology, hypertension, dialysis, ICU nephrology, and post-transplant care
Hospitalists serve as the admitting service; nephrology functions as a consultative service
Inpatient practice at a combined 500-bed tertiary care hospital complex
EPIC EMR used in both clinic and hospital settings
Strong support team including RNs, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Nurse Practitioners
Medical directorship opportunities associated with outpatient dialysis units
Dialysis population of approximately 300 patients supported by units in the Duluth/Twin Ports area and multiple satellite locations throughout the region
Dialysis services provided across communities in both Minnesota and Wisconsin
Outreach consultative services provided at 3 Twin Ports clinics and 6 regional clinic locations
Practice includes clinical nephrology, hypertension management, post-transplant care, acute dialysis, ICU nephrology, apheresis, plasmapheresis, continuous renal replacement therapy, home hemodialysis, CAPD, and CCPD
MD or DO degree required; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
Eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin
Current fellows and experienced nephrologists are encouraged to apply
