Physician - Neurohospitalist – Grand Rapids, Michigan
Corewell Health is seeking a Neurohospitalist to join our growing neuroscience team serving our West Michigan hospitals. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a highly collaborative, academically engaged, and well-supported environment with a desirable schedule and strong subspecialty support.
Position Highlights
Full-time, 7 on / 7 off schedule with flexibility for extended time away
Consultative practice model
In‑person coverage at two Grand Rapids, Michigan hospital campuses and a teleneurology service to our regional hospitals
Contribute to an academic environment with 6 neurology residents per year rotating on the teaching service
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including hospital medicine, stroke neurology, and subspecialists
Procedures including lumbar punctures, with IR backup available
Resource‑rich environment with advanced imaging capabilities, continuous EEG monitoring, and strong cardiology and infectious disease support
Candidate Qualifications
MD/DO
Board certified or board eligible in Neurology
Full Medical License, State of Michigan (or ability to obtain)

Location & Logistics
Primary location: Butterworth Hospital – 100 Michigan St NE – Grand Rapids.
Department: Neurology Inpatient – Medical Group West.
Employment type: Full time; Hours: 7am‑7pm; Scheduled hours: 40 per week; Days worked: Monday – Sunday (7 on / 7 off schedule); Weekend frequency: Variable weekends.
