The Augusta, GA Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is searching for a BE/BC Neurologist to join their dynamic healthcare team.
Qualifications needed but not limited to are: Academic appointment commensurate with qualifying experience. Full spectrum of diagnosing and managing patients with Neurological diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Position has educational component. Regular interactions with students and residents as inpatient consultant as well as in the Neurology clinic setting. Consults with Primary Care physicians and other specialists ensuring that patients receive appropriate continuous care. Experience in performing/interpreting Electroencephalogram (EEG) is preferred.
Salary Range: Up to $195,000 per year The Augusta Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center is a two-division Medical Center that provides tertiary care in medicine, surgery, neurology, psychiatry, rehabilitation medicine, and spinal cord injury. The Medical Center is affiliated with the Georgia Health Sciences University, Augusta, GA and as such integrates teaching, research, and advanced patient care, making it an attractive academic medical center.
Qualifications Required:
Citizen of the United States. Education: Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed. Physicians (Except Residents). Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. The physician must maintain current registration in the State of licensure if this is a requirement for continuing active, current licensure. Applicants must meet physical standards established for this position. Physicians, including residents, appointed to direct patient-care positions must be proficient in spoken and written English as required.
