Job DescriptionNeurology - Hospitalist opening in New YorkHorseheads/Corning/Elmira, NYFull timeJob SummaryAs a Neurologist Hospitalist, you will provide inpatient neurology consultation and management services, primarily for patients admitted with neurological disorders such as stroke, seizures, encephalopathy, and other acute conditions. You will collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency physicians, and subspecialty teams to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient neurology consults for acute and subacute neurological conditionsManage neurology inpatients in collaboration with multidisciplinary teamsInterpret neuroimaging and EEG studies (if applicable)Participate in stroke team call/response and manage acute stroke codesProvide education to residents, medical students, and advanced practice providersDocumentation and billing in compliance with hospital and regulatory standardsProvide and interpret EMG's/NCS studies (desirable)Qualifications:MD or DO degree from an accredited medical schoolBoard Certified or Board Eligible in NeurologyValid and unrestricted medical license in NYS licenseStrong clinical and communication skillsCommitment to inpatient neurology and teamworkCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary and productivity-based incentivesComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceMalpractice coverage (occurrence)CME allowance and paid time offRetirement plan with employer contributions$340k-390kWhy Join Us?Work in a collaborative, supportive, and collegial environmentOpportunity to shape and grow an evolving inpatient neurology programLocation in a vibrant community with excellent schools, outdoor activities, and cultural amenities Estimated pay range/amount is $340k-390k.
