JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Profession: Physician Specialty: Neurology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Petoskey, MI Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Nov 01, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: 8a-4:30p OP: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri; 1p-3p Call Schedule: Nights & Weekends Weekends; 24-hr call, 8a-8a Call Type: Beeper Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 6-8 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner REQUIRED PROCEDURES Radiologic Exam Interpretation Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap) EEG Brain Death Examination Evoked Potentials JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licenses: Active Michigan License DEA: Active DEA Certification Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS NPDB Report Duties & Responsibilities Provide outpatient neurology consultations during clinic hours (Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 8:00 AM 4:30 PM) Perform and interpret EEGs for inpatient and outpatient cases Cover inpatient hospital neurology consultations and manage acute neurological conditions Perform required procedures including lumbar puncture, brain death examination, and evoked potentials Take 24-hour weekend call (8a-8a) and after-hours call coverage
