JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD- Profession: Physician Specialty: Pediatric Neurology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Charleston, South Carolina Facility: MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital Health System: Medical University of South Carolina Health - Locums Coverage Period: Oct 05, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts Hours Per Shift: 24 Shifts Per Week: 7 Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 6-12 patients per day Case Mix: Inpatient, ICU, NICU, ER consults Rounding: Included Phone Consults: Yes FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Pediatric Neurology Licenses: Active South Carolina medical license required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient pediatric neurology coverage for 24-hour shifts. Round with the resident team on inpatients, ICU, NICU, and ER consults. Manage pager call, averaging 4-8 calls per night including consults and caregiver calls. Provide on-site coverage during days and nightly call. Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and orders.
