nSalary Range: $182,020.80 To $212,706.00 Annually

nApicha Community Health Center aims to improve community health by providing access to comprehensive primary care, preventive health services, mental health, and supportive services. The center is dedicated to delivering high-quality, culturally competent services that enhance the quality of life. It also advocates for and offers a welcoming environment for underserved and vulnerable populations.

nWe are currently seeking a Primary Care Physician to work at our Manhattan location.

nJob Duties and Responsibilities:

nnnProvide comprehensive medical care to a panel of patients on a continuing basis including but not limited to:

n

nnEvaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adults.

n

nnAdvising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings.

n

nnOrdering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high value care principles and EBM to inform clinical decision-making.

n

nnPrescribing appropriate treatment and/or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure.

n

nnReferring patients for consultant services when necessary.

n

nnEngage in health promotion activities.

n

nnMaintain accurate and detailed medical records about each patient, including observations during examinations.

n

nnComplete EMR documentation, billing, and patient-related paperwork in a timely manner, we use ECW.

n

nnComfort working with diverse populations including recent immigrants to the United States.

n

nnParticipate in night and weekend on-calls to be shared among clinicians.

n

nnCollaborate with multidisciplinary team.

n

nnAttend and participate in clinic, provider, and all staff meetings.

n

nnParticipate in pre-visit planning activities with the other members of the care team.

n

nnParticipate in center wide and clinic-specific quality improvement projects and PEER Review.

n

nnParticipate in appropriate certification/maintenance of certification and continuing medical education activities.

n

nnMaintain updated license and DEA.

n

nnWork continually to assure deliverance of quality clinical care in a safe, efficient, competent, and effective manner.

n

nnComply with all laws applicable to the practice of your specialty including HIPAA and mandated reporting.

n

nnPerform other duties as required or assigned.

n

n nQualifications:

nnnMust have an MD or DO degree & board eligible/certified.

n

nnSuccessful completion of an accredited residency training program in internal medicine or family medicine.

n

nnBC/BE in specialty.

n

nnCurrent and valid NYS license.

n

nnCurrent DEA certificate.

n

nnUpdated BLS and infection control certificate.

n

nnExcellent bedside manner.

n

nnProficiency in Spanish or an South east Asian language is preferred.

n

nnWorking knowledge of primary HIV medical care and LGBTQI care is a plus.

n
