JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Palmer, AK 99645 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Jul 21, 2026 Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 100 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Call Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Provided by Vendor PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 5 Admissions: 2 Rounding: Both Phone Consults: 5 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner/Athena PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: No Credentialing Timeline: Emergency credentialing available JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Eligible (required) Licenses: Licensed in AK Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP Duties & Responsibilities Provide on-call coverage for obstetric and gynecologic emergencies Respond to calls within 30 minutes as per facility requirements Perform emergency cesarean sections and other gynecologic surgeries Conduct phone consultations with emergency department and staff Round on admitted patients and manage inpatient care
