Locum Tenens Opportunity: Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Near Sweet Water, ALWe are seeking a dedicated Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) physician for a locum tenens position near Sweet Water, AL. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled OB/GYN physician who is passionate about providing comprehensive care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The position is available immediately and will continue on an ongoing basis.Position Overview: Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient EMR Systems: Athena & MeditechJob Responsibilities: Coverage Type: Call only coverage Full spectrum OB/GYN care, including both inpatient and outpatient services Round on assigned patients, ensuring continuity of care Patient Load: Manage up to 25 patients per shift Work within a department with 20 beds dedicated to OB/GYN services Procedures: Perform admissions as required Provide comprehensive OB/GYN services, including labor and delivery, prenatal care, and gynecological surgeries as neededCandidate Requirements: Licensure: Must be licensed in Alabama Temporary privileges available for qualified candidates Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required BLS (Basic Life Support) required PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required Board Certification: Minimum requirement is board eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellowship is not requiredKey Highlights: Flexible Scheduling: The position is call-only, offering a unique opportunity for work-life balance while still providing critical care to patients.
