JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Cape Girardeau, MO Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: ASAP Jul 01, 2027 On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call, 6a-6a 7 consecutive days Call Type: In-House Call Ratio: 1:2 Call Response Time: 15 min Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Annual Deliveries: 600 Average Daily Volume: 6-7 Rounding: Yes Phone Consults: Varies FACILITY INFORMATION Beds in the Dept: 18 Peds Level: III EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup: Midwife Specialty Backup Available: OB Tech, 2 L&D, 2 NICU 24/7 CRNA , RN 1st Assist REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required Low & High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation Routine & Complicated delivery Surgical gynecology JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC Licenses: Licensed in MO or IMLC Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS Duties & Responsibilities Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage for Obstetrics and Gynecology emergencies. Manage low and high risk pregnancies, including routine and complicated deliveries. Perform C-sections, multiple births, and emergency gynecological surgeries. Provide consultation for OB GYN emergency patients. Work collaboratively with midwives and supporting staff (CRNA, RT, surgical assistants).
