Locum OB/GYN Physician Pomona, NJ Hospital-Based Labor & Delivery Coverage Are you an experienced OB/GYN seeking a flexible locum opportunity with a leading facility in Pomona, NJ? Join a dedicated hospital team providing inpatient labor and delivery care, enjoy competitive hourly pay, and start as soon as September 24, 2026. Quick Facts: Location: Mainland Hospital, 65 W Jimmie Leeds Rd, Galloway, NJ 08240 Start Date: 09/24/2026 Shift: 7:00 A.M. 7:00 P.M. & 7:00 P.M. 7:00 A.M. (rotating shifts) Schedule: Approximately 36 hours/week, Monday through Friday Duration: Ongoing until permanent provider is hired Employment Type: Locum Tenens License/Certifications: Valid medical license in NJ, Board Certified/Board Eligible in OB/GYN Experience: Hospital-based obstetric care, labor floor management, gynecologic emergencies Pay & Benefits: Hourly Rate: $195/hour Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Paid sick time in accordance with laws 24/7 dedicated support team What You ll Do: Manage inpatient labor and delivery care, supporting women from admission through postpartum Perform labor inductions, cesarean sections, and gynecological emergency procedures Oversee gynecological emergencies presenting in the Emergency Department Provide inpatient gynecological consultations and management Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Document clinical care accurately within Cerner or Oracle EMR systems Support hospital-based women s health services until a permanent provider is in place What You Need: Valid NJ medical license and board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN Experience managing labor, delivery, and gynecologic emergencies Proficiency in labor inductions, cesarean deliveries, and inpatient gynecological consults Strong clinical judgment and teamwork skills About the Assignment: This opportunity is ideal for OB/GYN physicians seeking a hospital-based, laborist-style role focusing solely on inpatient labor and delivery coverage. You will work in a Level III Trauma Facility with a patient census that varies from 1 to 9 laboring patients daily, performing essential obstetric procedures and providing emergency gynecological care.
