End Date/Duration: Ongoing until a permanent provider is hired

Shift: 7:00 A.M. 7:00 P.M. & 7:00 P.M. 7:00 A.M. (Monday through Friday)

Hours/week: Approximately 36 hours

Employment Type: Locum Tenens

License/Certs: State-specific license required

Experience: Hospital-based obstetrical care, labor management, gynecologic emergencies

Pay & Benefits:Hourly Pay Rate: $195/hour

What You ll Do:Provide inpatient labor and delivery care for labor and delivery patients

Manage labor floor, including inductions and cesarean sections

Respond to gynecological emergencies in the emergency department

Perform inpatient gynecological consultations

Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure quality patient care

Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records (Cerner/Oracle)

Support hospital goals for women s health until a permanent provider is recruited

What You Need:

Required:

Valid Obstetric/Gynecological license in NJ or eligible to obtain

Experience managing labor, delivery, and gynecological emergencies

Skills in labor inductions, cesarean sections, and inpatient care

Preferred:

Hospital-based laborist or inpatient OB/GYN experience

Strong decision-making skills and team collaboration abilities

This opportunity is ideal for an OB/GYN physician seeking a hospital-based, laborist-style role focused exclusively on inpatient labor and delivery coverage. You will oversee the care of laboring patients, perform urgent procedures, and collaborate with hospital staff to support women's health services. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center committed to providing exceptional care in a supportive environment until the position is filled permanently.
