JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Clyde, NC Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: Call Only Call Schedule: 24-hours call, Mon Sun Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 0-5 Call Response Time: 30 mins Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 4-6 iP Admissions: 4 Rounding included: Both Phone Consults: 0-3 FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: McKesson and Athena Support Staff: RNs, MAs, CNM PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: Low & High risk pregnancy FHR interpretation OB Ultrasounds Routine & Complicated delivery Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations Surgical GYN JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: NC Certifications: ACLS Fellowship: Preferred Other Info: NC Medicaid Enrollment, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Duties & Responsibilities Provide call coverage for OBGYN at assigned hospital location (Haywood or Harris), including 24/7 beeper call with 30-minute response time. Manage inpatient admissions (average 4 per day), perform hospital rounds, and handle phone consults (0-3 per shift). Perform required obstetric and gynecologic procedures including routine and complicated deliveries, c-sections, repairs, and minor/major surgical gynecology. Ensure accurate documentation in McKesson and Athena EMR systems. Collaborate with hospital support staff (RNs, MAs, CNM) to provide comprehensive patient care and maintain patient safety.
