JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD- Profession: Physician Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Elkins, WV Service Setting: Hospital (Labor and Delivery) Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Dec 07, 2026 Jun 07, 2027 On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call (7a 7a) Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 10 minutesPATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults (child-rearing ages) Patient Volume/Census: 1 birth per day Case Mix: ObstetricsFACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Paragon Specialty Backup Available: Pediatrics, AnesthesiaPRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 45-60 daysREQUIRED PROCEDURES All OBGYN proceduresJOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: WV license or Universal License (IMLC) Board: Board Certified (OB/GYN) DEA: Yes Certifications: BLS, ACLS Experience: 5+ years preferredDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide 24-hour call coverage for Labor and Delivery Manage obstetric emergencies Perform all OBGYN procedures Collaborate with support staff including L&D nursing, pediatrics, and anesthesia Ensure timely response to critical cases within 10 minutes
