Locum to Perm OB/GYN Physician Opportunity in Richmond, VA Are you an experienced OB/GYN physician seeking a flexible role with excellent compensation? Quick Facts Location: 1510 North 28th Street, Richmond, VA 23223 Start Date: 04/28/2026 Duration: May 1, 2026 August 31, 2026 Shift: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM (Office hours) with 24-hour call availability Hours/Week: Full-time (approximately 40 hours) Employment Type: Locum to Perm License/Certifications: Virginia medical license required Experience: Prior OB/GYN practice experience preferred Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $19.50 per hour Benefits: Competitive pay package discussed upon application Weekly pay via direct deposit Medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated support team from VHS Paid sick leave in accordance with applicable laws What You ll Do Provide outpatient and hospital-based OB/GYN services at a busy Richmond practice and hospital Manage low-risk pregnancies (approximately 90%) and some high-risk cases Perform routine OB ultrasound interpretation and fetal heart rate monitoring Assist with labor and delivery, including vaginal and C-section deliveries Conduct gynecologic procedures such as IUD insertions, colposcopy, and minor surgeries Collaborate with a team of midwives and APPs Document patient encounters accurately using EPIC EMR system Support patient education and provide comprehensive prenatal and gynecologic care What You Need MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Valid Virginia medical license or eligible for licensure Experience in OB/GYN practice, including obstetric and gynecologic procedures Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment About the Assignment This position is with a leading healthcare facility in Richmond, VA, dedicated to providing top-quality OB-GYN care.
