Job DescriptionOB Hospitalist Physician \ N
PositionSummary: \ N
As part of the Ob Hospitalist clinical team, an Ob Hospitalist embraces delivering a quality OB Hospitalist program.\ N
PositionResponsibilities: \ N Deliver obstetrical and gynecological care to patients including but not limited to providing contraceptive services (at hospitals that provide contraceptive services)
\ N Deliver direct patient care to high-risk patients including situations where Maternal Fetal Medicine support may only be available by telephone or video consultation
\ N Participate daily in Labor and Delivery board rounds
\ N Serve as the ‘Safety Officer’ on Labor and Delivery to ensure that all patients, regardless of their primary admitting clinician, have the safest possible outcomes
\ N Support community physicians and midwives through clinical assistance as requested including practice coverage as requested and as safely available
\ N Shifts: \ N 24-hour shifts (majority)
\ N Some 12-hour or mixed-shift models
\ N Full-time clinicians typically work 5–9 (24-hr) shifts per 28-day block

Cliniciansare eligible for coverage with a shift commitment of 5 shifts per 28-day block
\ N Requirements: \ N Board Certified or Active Candidate Ob/Gyn Physician
\ N Licensed to practice medicine in the state of assigned site
\ N Highly relational, ableto build strong rapport and positive working relationships with all stakeholders (Hospital leadership, hospitalist teams, nurses, staff physicians, and OBHG corporate staff)
\ N Significant experience with obstetrical emergency care (preferred)
