Job description
Lankenau Medical Center is seeking experienced and passionate OB/GYN Faculty Members to join our esteemed residency program. With a cohort of 16 residents, and over 25 volunteer faculty members, this role offers a unique opportunity to blend clinical practice with resident education, shaping the future of obstetrics and gynecology.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice (0.7 FTE)
* Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, delivery, postpartum care, and gynecologic surgeries
* Participate in labor and delivery coverage, including on-call responsibilities
* Conduct outpatient consultations and follow-up visits
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
* Call not to exceed 1:6/7
Educational Duties (0.3 FTE)
* Serve as a preceptor for residents, offering hands-on training and mentorship in clinical and surgical settings
* Participate in the development and implementation of the residency curriculum under direction of the residency program director in compliance with ACGME standards
* Conduct educational sessions, including lectures, case discussions, and simulation training
* Evaluate resident performance and provide constructive feedback
* Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publications, and conference presentations
Qualifications:
* MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
* Board certification/eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
* Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania
* Commitment to teaching and mentoring residents
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Two years of experience required
