Job description
Full-time board-certified or board-eligible ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cornea and external disease Interest in resident education and residency program development encouraged Tertiary referral setting with diverse and complex ophthalmic cases Recruitment across ophthalmology subspecialties to support expanding practice Newly approved ophthalmology residency program launching summer 2026 Requires completion of U.S. residency or fellowship training Responsibilities include clinical practice, teaching, and rotating call coverage Opportunities for academic involvement and research participation Employment within an established academic health system Modern clinic with advanced equipment and strong administrative support Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Additional offerings may include relocation assistance, loan repayment, sign-on bonus, and paid commitment stipends Located inland off of the North Carolina coast, 45 miles east of interstate 95, just over an hour to Raleigh, a little over an hour to the pristine beaches of the Crystal Coast of NC.
