JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Bullhead City, AZ Service Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient Coverage Type: Inpatient, Outpatient Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 100 Call Response Time: 15 minutes Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance Covered COVERAGE DATES ASAP - Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 5-7 Admissions: 6 or less Rounding: Both Phone Consults: Yes FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Athena/ Medhost Reason for Coverage: Call PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: Arthroscopy Total Joint replacement Hip knee Other (excludes hip and knee) Joint revision or repair Shoulder Hip Knee Other (excludes shoulder, hip, and knee) W/ Instrumentation Cervical Thoracic Lumbar W/O Instrumentation Cervical Thoracic Lumbar Percutaneous disc surgery Preferred: Hand Tendon release/repair Peripheral nerve surgery JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Certified Licenses: Arizona license DEA: Active DEA Certification Duties & Responsibilities Provide orthopedic surgical services in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Participate in call coverage as required. Perform rounding on patients. Manage admissions as needed. Handle phone consults.
