JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Orthopedic Surgeon (Hand) Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Hobart & Valparaiso, IN (Chicagoland Area) Service Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient Schedule: Monday Friday, with shared call responsibilities (1:6 rotation) On-Call Expectations: 1:6 rotation Start Date: Negotiable (credentialing typically 90120 days) PATIENT POPULATION & SCOPE Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics Average Daily Volume / Census: Diverse hand and upper extremity surgical caseload Admissions & Rounding: Included Consults & Follow-Ups: Yes Case Mix/Clinical Focus Areas: Hand surgery and general orthopedic cases FACILITY & TEAM DETAILS Beds in Department/Unit: Orthopedics Unit within a 458-bed hospital system EMR System: Epic fully integrated HIMSS Stage VII Specialty Backup: Comprehensive physician network with subspecialty surgical support Support Staff: Nurse practitioner support in inpatient and outpatient settings Leadership & Reporting Structure: Reports within Community Healthcare System physician group Reason for Opening: Growth and expansion of orthopedic service line CREDENTIALING & COMPLIANCE Board Requirements: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery (Hand focus encouraged) DEA & Certifications: DEA, CSR, licensure as required Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90120 days COMPENSATION & PERMANENT BENEFITS Base Salary: Highly compe
