MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center (Waterloo, IA) and MercyOne Cedar Falls Medical Center (Cedar Falls, IA) are seeking an Orthopedic Surgery Physician to provide locum tenens call-only coverage during scheduled provider time off.
This high‑impact role covers inpatient and call at both facilities with no clinic responsibilities required.

️ Responsibilities & Scope of Practice
Orthopedic Surgeon will provide:
* Comprehensive history & physical exams , admits, evaluations, and diagnostics
* Treatment and consultation for conditions of the extremities, spine, and musculoskeletal system
* Management of:
- Trauma
- Infections
- Tumors
- Metabolic disturbances
- Deformities
- Degenerative diseases
- Injuries (hands, feet, knee, hip, shoulder, elbow)
- Primary/secondary muscular issues
- Conditions resulting from CNS/PNS lesions
* Coverage and assessment in emergent orthopedic situations
* Providing patient care in the intensive care setting if needed (per unit policies)
* Stabilization, assessment, and disposition of emergency consults
