Job DescriptionPart-Time Interventional Pain Physician – Mount Vernon, Illinois Position Overview\ N Permanent position
\ N Part-time
\ N Outpatient clinic
\ N Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p
\ N No formalcall schedule
\ N After-hours handled via answering service with physician-to-physician consults
\ N
Training, Licensure & Board Requirements (High Priority)\ N Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible – Required
\ N Fellowship Trained in Interventional Pain Medicine
\ N ACGME-accredited fellowship required
\ N
Acceptable Primary Training:
\ N Anesthesiology
\ N PM&R
\ N Practice Setting & Support\ N May work alongside:
\ N Other physicians and/or APPs
\ N RNs, LPNs, and MAs (varies by site)
\ N
All patients are chronic pain referrals
\ N Not solelypersonal injury cases
\ N
Procedures& Clinical Expectations\ N Bread-and-butter interventional pain procedures
\ N Common proceduresinclude:
\ N Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
\ N Radiofrequency Ablations (RFA)
\ N Spinal cord stimulator trials
\ N
Opento discussing:
\ N Proceduresthe physician does and does not perform to assess fit
\ N
While primarily interventional:
\ N Medication management expected when clinically appropriate
\ N
Compensation & Contract Structure\ N 1099 position
\ N Competitive compensation (discussed directly with client)
\ N Two-year guarantee
\ N After Year 2:
\ N Transitionto collections-based model
\ N Collect 100% of professional fees minus direct expenses
\ N
