JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Pediatrics Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Durant, OK 74701 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Call Only Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Call Only (24-hour coverage) On-Call Shift Schedule: Beeper, 30-minute response, 1:3 ratio Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:3 Call Response Time: 30 minutes Reason for Coverage: Call Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by AgencyCOVERAGE DATES: Aug 1,2026 - Ongoing PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 7 patients/day Admissions: 1 Rounding: Both Phone Consults: 0.25FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Cerner and Athena Support Staff: RNs: 7, Office Staff: 2PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: NoREQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: Non-Invasive Ventilation Management (neo-puff) Ventilation Management (Newborn) Acute Intubation (ETT/NT) Newborn UVC UAC Needle pneumothorax Decompression Preferred: Chest tube insertion Suturing minor lacerations Circumcision (type)JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Eligible (BE) required Licenses: Licensed in OK Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, ABLS Fellowship: RequiredDuties & Responsibilities Provide on-call coverage for pediatric inpatients, responding to calls within 30 minutes Assess and manage acute neonatal and pediatric conditions, including intubation, ventilation, and decompression procedures Perform newborn evaluations, UVC/UAC placement, and circumcisions as clinically indicated Coordinate with nursing and office staff to ensure timely patient care and documentation Maintain accurate records in Cerner and Athena EMR systems
