Our specialized perioperative clinic is staffed by internal medicine hospitalists and APPs who:

Assess perioperative risk and optimize chronic medical conditions before surgery

Provide patients with education to reduce complications and improve outcome

This approach has led to fewer same-day cancellations, streamlined anesthesia care, and better patient experiences.

Position Highlights: 10 hour clinic shifts, 1-2 shifts per week

Ideal for hospitalists, outpatient internal medicine, or family practice physicians

Excellent fit for early career physicians seeking predictable schedules or late career physicians looking to scale back

Why Providers Choose St. Luke's:

More than sixty specialties converge here, including Idaho's only Children's Hospital. Physicians benefit from modern operating suites, advanced technology, and integrated support through technology - enabling them to spend more time on meaningful patient care and less on administrative burdens.

But inside St. Luke's, the standout feature isn't equipment or facilities-it's the culture.

We believe exceptional care begins with an environment that supports our clinicians. Nationally recognized by the American Medical Association's Joy in Medicine program for reducing burnout and boosting clinician well-being, St. Luke's leads in team collaboration, professional growth, and shared decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications: Education: MD/DO from accredited medical school

Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice

Current licenses with full prescriptive authority from the Federal DEA and Idaho Board of Pharmacy
