JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Duluth, MN 55805 Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon Fri, 8a 5p On-Call Shift Schedule: 24-hour call Every 3rd week rotation Call Type: In-House Call Ratio: 1:3 Call Response Time: 30 min Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 8-14 Admissions: 5 Rounding: Assigned Patients Phone Consults: Answer questions over phone FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Support Staff: RNs: 2-6, MAs: 1, Office Staff: 1 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES Required: EMG JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Board Certified Licenses: Active MN license or willing to obtain Certifications: BLS, ACLS Duties & Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop rehabilitation plans for individuals with physical disabilities or impairments. Manage inpatients with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, and other disabling conditions. Perform electrodiagnostic studies, including electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS). Coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, and case managers to optimize patient outcomes. Provide In-House call coverage on a rotating basis (approximately 1:3) to manage acute rehabilitation needs and consults.
