Job description

Physician - Plastic Surgery

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a full-time Plastic Surgeon to join its dedicated team on the Olathe Campus. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality reconstructive and elective cosmetic surgical services while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care. This role emphasizes both clinical excellence and strong engagement with the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Breast reconstruction and reduction

Skin cancer reconstruction

Hand surgery

Trauma and cancer related flap coverage

Wound care

Basic Facial Trauma

Elective cosmetic procedures

Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients

Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including follow-up visits

Participate in on-call rotation for trauma and emergency consults

Collaborate with orthopedic, vascular, colorectal, gynecology, cardiothoracic, urology, general and neurosurgeons, dermatologists, oncologists, and primary care providers

Required Qualifications:

MD/DO or equivalent

Board Eligible/ Board Certified in Plastic Surgery

Eligible for licensure in Missouri and Kansas
