nResponsibilities

nWork Schedule:

nMonday - Friday, 8.5 hours between 7:30am and 6pm

nNo Weekends, No Holidays

nNo Call, No Call-Back

nJob Specific Position Duties: The duties include, but are not limited to the following:

nCORE Duties:

n• Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.

n• Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.

n• Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.

n• Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.

n• Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.

n• Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.

nDuties- Specific:

nIn addition to the duties listed in the basic contract, the following additional or supplemental duties are required for HCWs on this TO. The duties for the HCW are as follows but not limited to:

nThe contractor shall provide primary care in the Naval Health Clinic Lemoore Medical Home Port and/or Hornet Health Fleet Centered Medical Home to include the following:

n• Perform primary care exams for the neonatal to geriatric populations.

n• Perform primary care and administrative exams including but not limited to Physical Readiness Test (PRT) waivers, Preventive Health Assessments (PHA), Sea Duty / Operational Screening exams, School and Sports physicals, Pap, and well-woman exams.

n• Initiate recommendations for Sick-in-Quarters (SIQ) and duty modifications for active-duty personnel in accordance with MTF instructions.

n• Diagnosis and treatment of urgent and non-urgent disease and injury to all body organs and systems of patients in the neonatal to geriatric populations.

n• Prescribe medications as indicated.

nThe contractor shall ensure accurate and timely completion of referrals, to include the following:

n• Conduct all referrals in accordance with the MTF’s policies and protocols.

n• Document all referrals in the patient’s medical record and in automated data systems used by the MTF following MTF policies and procedures.

nThe contractor shall ensure the following for urgent and emergent patients:

n• Respond to medical emergencies within the clinic until the Medical Officer of the Day arrives.

n• Recognize patients that require care beyond the capability of the MTF and arrange and coordinate the emergent transportation to other medical facilities.

nQualifications

nMinimum Qualifications:

n*** Education:** M.D. or DO

n***** Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in a Family Practice setting, within the past 5 years to include children

n*** License:** Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in any state

n*** Board Certification:** Board eligibility is required. Board certification if preferred. Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Family Practice, the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.

n*** Life Support Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required

n*** Security:** Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.

nPay Scale: $115/hr to $185/hr, to be determined based on employment options, qualifications, experience, and location
