Job description
Job Title: Primary Care Physician
Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $132 - $142/hr
Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Primary Care Physician for a temporary assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.
Responsibilities for a Primary Care Physician:
Provide outpatient Family Medicine services as an MD in a clinic setting
See an average of 16-18 patients per day across all age groups
Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on an 8-hour daily shift
Perform desired procedures including skin excisions/punch biopsies, Nexplanon & IUD insertions, cryotherapy, and toenail evulsions when applicable
Work independently as a solo provider
Utilize Epic EMR system for all clinical documentation and charting
Maintain current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements (no exemptions)
Maintain valid state licensure and meet all credentialing and privileging requirements
Hold clinic and hospital privileges as required
No call, rounding, or admissions required
