Job description
Job Title
Supervise and evaluate primary care providers, including Physicians, PAs, and APRNs.
Manage administrative functions (appraisals, proficiencies, FPPEs/OPPEs, pay for performance, disciplinary actions, and leave approvals).
Oversee staffing, coverage, and timely patient access for the Primary Care clinic.
Resolve Congressional, White House, VISN, facility action items, and patient/staff complaints.
Chair monthly provider meetings and assist with planning bimonthly PACT trainings.
Provide clinical care: acute, chronic, and preventive care for male and female patients.
Cover clinical alerts and patient care in provider absences.
Practice according to professional standards and VA policies, utilizing electronic medical records.
Participate in meetings, educational activities, and other assigned administrative duties.
Perform a wide range of primary care services, including prevention, diagnosis, and management of common medical conditions.
Conduct various clinical procedures (e.g., catheterization, EKG, fracture management, injections, wound care).
Deliver care via in-person or telehealth as appropriate.
Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
