Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Psychiatry Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: San Jose, CA Service Setting: Outpatient Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Nov 2, 2026 - Ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical Only Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri; 8a-5p - 12-16 hrs/week Patient Demographics: Ages 5 and up (all ages) Patient Volume: 6-10 Support Staffs: Medical Director, Nurses, Case Managers Case Mix: Anxiety Disorder, Intermittent explosive disorder, Depression, disruptive mood disorder, OCD, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorders EMR: Avatar NX Duties/Responsibilities: - Perform psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and MSEs, providing DSM-based diagnoses - Provide ongoing medication management for assigned patients - Obtain and review diagnostic data, labs, and consultations relevant to patient treatment - Advise families and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment, and intersection with developmental disabilities Requirements: Active CA License BC/BE Flu & Covid Vaccines Local Candidate
