Are you a board-certified psychiatrist seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in North Carolina? A facility located near Marion, NC, is in need of a skilled and dedicated physician to join their team on a long-term basis. This position is perfect for a psychiatrist looking to make a difference in an inpatient setting while enjoying the flexibility of a locum tenens role.Position Highlights: Start Date: January 6, 2025 Duration: Ongoing, with the potential for a long-term engagement. Schedule: Scheduled clinical hours only no call responsibilities. Practice Setting: Inpatient psychiatric unit with assigned patient rounding. Patients Per Shift: 8-12 patients per day. Bed Capacity: 33 beds in the psychiatric department.Requirements: Board Certification: Active board certification in psychiatry is required. Licensure: Must hold an active North Carolina medical license. Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. Credentialing: Streamlined credentialing process with an estimated timeframe of 30 days.Practice Details: Provide care to patients with various psychiatric conditions, including: Anxiety and affective disorders Psychotic and personality disorders Organic disorders and more Involvement in treatment techniques such as pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy. No outpatient responsibilities.Support and Facility Features: Adequate support staff, including registered nurses, medical assistants, and advanced practice providers. Temporary privileges are available to expedite your start. Facility is not stroke-certified and does not require teaching or supervision of residents.Travel and Benefits: Travel and lodging expenses are covered. Insurance provided by the vendor.
