Outpatient Psychiatry Locums Job in Upstate New York
A healthcare organization in upstate New York is seeking a board certified psychiatrist for a full-time outpatient assignment beginning in November 2026. This opportunity offers a unique blend of patient care and teaching responsibilities in a well-supported clinical environment.
Opportunity Highlights:
Full-time, Monday through Friday schedule
Outpatient setting
Approximately 10 patients per day
Diverse patient population spanning children through older adults
Dedicated administrative time built into the schedule
Academic and precepting responsibilities
Epic EMR
Strong support team including nursing and administrative staff
Limited call rotation
Six-month assignment with potential for extension
This position is ideal for psychiatrists who enjoy practicing in a collaborative outpatient setting while helping train the next generation of providers.
Requirements:
MD or DO
Board Certified in Psychiatry or Board Eligible if actively pursuing certification
Active state license
New York Medicare/Medicaid Credentials
