Job description
Saratoga Medical (DBA Saratoga Ascend) is hiring a Physician – Psychiatry for an onsite opportunity with Maricopa County Correctional Health Services in Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive mental health services in a correctional healthcare setting.
Physician – Psychiatry | Maricopa County, AZ
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical program
Completion of an accredited U.S. Psychiatry Residency or Fellowship
Current, valid, unrestricted Arizona Psychiatrist license
Current Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the Arizona Medical Board
Current DEA/Controlled Substance Registration Certificate for Schedule II, III, and IV medications
Current NPI verification
Current N95 fit testing
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Psychiatrist
Key Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric consultations, patient assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
Evaluate new admissions and re-evaluate patients as needed
Prescribe medications according to the CHS Pharmacy Formulary
Manage involuntary treatment, including court-ordered evaluations and involuntary medications
Participate in the Mental Health Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and coordinate with the Forensic Team
Develop psychiatric protocols and clinical practice guidelines for the correctional setting
Assist with licensure and accreditation surveys
Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Regular business hours
Jail/Clinic:
Floating to all jails
