nnnSpecialty: Psychiatry

nnOpen to experienced providers or new graduates (Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of completing residency)

nnPosition Location: Gouverneur Hospital
n
nnSchedule: Flexibility in schedule to meet a 40-hour work week with no after-hours call
n
nnPractice Setting: Primarily providing outpatient services with some inpatient hospital consults during regular business hours
n
nnPsychiatrists will see patients 5+ years of age to geriatric
n
nnOversight of Detox Clinic including detox consults
n
nnEMR: Epic
n
nnTeam Structure: Collaboration with seasoned PHMNP’s and NP’s as well as other Physicians within the RRH system

nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
nModerate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
