nUnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital is a 204-bed, community hospital serving the Cedar Valley. Allen Hospital is the busiest hospital in the Cedar Valley. We care for more inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients and cardiac patients than any other hospital in our 10-county service area. United Medical Park and Prairie Parkway offer outpatient care in facilities that are built for your comfort and convenience.

nnSchedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30

nn204 bed hospital with established Hospitalist Team

nnSupport from a full range of dedicated specialists and subspecialists

nnOutpatient clinic equipped with 6 consultation rooms & 1 procedure room

nn12 bed ICU with Intensivist

nnCardio and Pulmonary Rehab onsite
n
nnFully integrated system with clinic and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination

nResponsibilities
nnnRewarding mix between outpatient and inpatient
n
nnCritical care, hospital consults, pulmonary procedures, and outpatient medicine
n
nnAverage outpatient volume: 16-20 patients per day
n
nnAverage 5 patient consults daily (clinic hours only)
n
nn3-4 patients daily census in ICU
n
nnFull range of office care and diagnostic services for patients with lung disorders such as chronic obstructive lung disease, asthma, sleep apnea, interstitial lung disease, lung nodule, and lung cancer
n
nnUltrasound, Lab, PFT, and Respiratory Therapist on site
n
nnSpacious fully equipped surgical room
n
nnExposure to procedures: endobronchial US guided bronchoscopy, CT guided bronchoscopy, pleurx placement, thoracentesis, arterial lines, central lines, dialysis catheters, Chest tube management/placement
n
nnAbility to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve

n nQualifications
nnnMD or DO
n
nnBoard Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Critical Care
n
nnAbility to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of State
n
nnHold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
n
nnEligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
n
nnJ-1 waiver sponsorship available
