JOB OVERVIEW Profession: Physician Specialty: Vascular & Interventional Radiology Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Las Cruces, NM Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: ASAP Ongoing Shift Schedule: 9a-5:30p Call Schedule: Nights and Weekends Nights: 5:30p-9a Weekends: 8a-8a Call Type: Beeper Call Ratio: 1:1 Call Response Time: 30 mins Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency COVERAGE DATES Weekend call: Every weekend EXCEPT Aug 8-9, Aug 15-16, Sep 20, Oct 24-25 Day coverage: Oct 28-30 Nov 20, 23-27, 30 Dec 18, 21-25, 28 PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 15-18 Rounding: Yes Phone Consults: 3-5 FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds: 99 Trauma Level: III EMR System: Medhost Support Staff: RNs: 4 PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Temporary Privileges Available: Yes REQUIRED PROCEDURES U/S guided Biopsies Abdominal Aortagram with bilateral runoffs Pulmonary Emboli extraction Periphial angioplasty TIPS procedure Tunneled PICC line & Port placement IVC filters Placement and or removal Kyphoplasty Percutanous Bilary drain Percutanous nephrostomy drain Dialysis fistula/graft & declotting Embolization procedures Coils Tunnled Hickman & Hemmodialysis catheters Plurex catheter placements Mammo procedures Needle Localization Sterotactic Biopsies JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE Licenses: Licensed in NM Certifications: BLS Duties & Responsibilities Provide weekend call coverage for Vascular & Interventional Radiology (8a 8a) Cover night call shifts from 5:30p 9a as needed Respond to beeper call within 30 minutes Perform day coverage procedures (9a 5:30pm) on specified dates Manage inpatient consults and phone consults (3-5 per shift)
