Cardiac SurgeonLocation: Paducah, KYJob Type: Locum TenensOverview:A hospital-based opportunity is available for a Cardiac Surgeon with a strong focus on adult cardiac procedures. This role includes surgical coverage, ICU management, and collaboration with a dedicated cardiothoracic care team in a supportive clinical environment.Orientation $400/hr. 24h call 4000 with 2 hour gratis. Call back $400/hr after gratisSchedule:24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)Practice Details:Setting: Hospital-basedEMR: EpicDedicated cardiac OR and hybrid ORCollaborative ICU and anesthesia teamPatient Population: Adult and geriatricPatient Volume:12 cardiothoracic surgical cases per dayResponsibilities:Perform adult cardiac surgeryManage post-operative and high-risk patients in the ICUProvide support for structural heart procedures in hybrid OR/cath labCollaborate with multidisciplinary teamsProcedures Include:CABG (including arterial revascularization and redo cases)Heart valve repair and replacementGeneral thoracic procedures (thoracostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS, lung biopsy, pericardial window)Impella insertion, removal, and managementStructural heart procedure supportRequirements:Board Certified Cardiac Surgeon RequiredBLS RequiredActive Kentucky License or willingness to obtain PreferredExperience with Impella support RequiredExperience with structural heart procedures RequiredClean background RequiredNPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) RequiredCredentialing:Estimated timeframe: 90 daysAbout WhiteCoat Locums:- Physician owned and led agency- Highest-Pay rates on the market- $1m/3m malpractice insurance and tail- 100% transparency
