Job description
A premier cardiac program in Western Wisconsin along the Mississippi River is seeking a board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join its physician-led, collaborative surgical team.
Position Highlights:
Perform a comprehensive range of adult cardiothoracic surgical procedures
Dedicated, set OR blocks provide a predictable surgical schedule
Primarily inpatient-focused practice with one outpatient clinic day per week
Equitable 1:3 night, weekend and holiday call rotation
Strong clinical support from 4 inpatient surgical APCs and 2 dedicated outpatient APCs
Practice within a premier 325-bed Level II Trauma Center
Primary Stroke Center and onsite inpatient rehabilitation services
Serve a regional catchment area of more than 700,000 people across 22 counties
Regional network includes 6 critical access hospitals and more than 65 clinics
Fully integrated Epic EMR
Two medical transport helicopters plus an extensive ground ambulance network
Teaching and mentorship opportunities through an integrated General Surgery residency program

Qualifications:
Board-certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Completion of an accredited graduate medical training program
Must have or be eligible to obtain an unrestricted medical license in the multi-state region
Willingness to supervise advanced practice clinicians
Outreach services may be required as part of the role
Commitment to teaching medical students, residents, fellows or clinical staff
