Locum Tenens Opportunity: Orthopaedic Surgeon Near Duncan, OK We are currently seeking a highly skilled Orthopaedic Surgeon for a locum tenens position near Duncan, OK. This opportunity is ideal for a board-certified or board-eligible physician with a specialization in orthopedic surgery who is interested in providing crucial emergency department (ED) call coverage. The position is available immediately and will continue on an ongoing basis, offering a flexible schedule and the chance to support a dedicated medical team. Position Overview: Specialty : Orthopaedic Surgery Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing Practice Setting : Outpatient EMR System : Epic Job Responsibilities: Coverage Type : Call Only Schedule : Week 1: :00 AM to :00 AM Week 2: :00 AM to :00 AM This cycle repeats each week, providing consistent and predictable coverage needs. Call Coverage : Provide ED call coverage, responding to all calls within 15 minutes. Must be available to arrive onsite within 30 minutes when needed. Flexibility to adjust call schedule as required based on changes in local staffing. Candidate Requirements: Licensure : Must be licensed in Oklahoma or eligible for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC). Certifications : Board Certification: Required (Board-Eligible candidates considered) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications are not required. Experience : Proven experience in orthopedic surgery with a focus on emergency procedures is highly desirable. Credentialing : Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days.
